Certified Pedagogy of classical dance

One of the objectives of the Fundación Elisa Carrillo Cabrera A.C. is to promote dance in Mexico, through the education and training of children, young talents, dancers and others. That is why, for almost a month, 30 active classical dance teachers received instruction and theoretical-practical knowledge from a group of specialists, from two of the most prestigious institutions of classical dance in the world: the Vagánova Ballet Academy and the State Academy of Choreography in Moscow.
This academic activity was an initiative of the Fundación Elisa Carrillo Cabrera A.C., made in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture -through the National Institute of Fine Arts and the National School of Classical and Contemporary Dance – and the Committee on Culture and Cinematography the Chamber of Deputies . Its purpose was to create spaces for training and updating active teachers, which enable them to mobilize their previous knowledge and acquire new ones to enrich their practice as teachers in the field of classical dance, for the benefit of the new generations of dance in Mexico.
He was born on July 28, 1973 in Odessa, Ukraine. From the age of 7 he participated in ballet at the Choreographic School of Odessa, and later, at age 11, he was admitted to the Russian Ballet Academy, later called the Vagánova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersburg.
In 1991 he was accepted into the company of the Mikhailovsky Theater, of which he was principal soloist for 18 years. He has played the main characters of classical ballet works such as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet , Prince Desiré in Sleeping Beauty , Siegfried in Swan Lake , James in The Sylph and others.
From 2004 to 2009 he studied at the Vagánova Ballet Academy in the pedagogical department. In 2009 he received the qualification of ballet master and in that same year he moved to Tokyo, Japan, at the invitation of the Rybin Art Center, where he is currently artistic director in the Direction of the Classical Ballet. Ilyin Vyacheslav teaches classical, historical-everyday dance and duo. He also lectures for Japanese teachers and students on the methods of classical, historical and dance duos.
He was born in Russia. He graduated from the Vagánova Ballet Academy, then studied at the Rimsky Korsakov Conservatory and did postgraduate studies, as choreographer and ballet teacher. He began his career at the Mikhailovsky Theater. He is also the founder and artistic director of the International Dance Dance Festival of St. Petersburg and the Open Dance Festival of St. Petersburg since 2001, as well as a member of the International Dance Council CID-UNESCO, and founder and president of the International Petipa Heritage Fund since 2016 Since 2017 he has been artistic director of the Eurasian Dance Festival in Astana, as well as master ballet at the Sir Anton Dolin Foundation.
In 2014 he organized a Gala of Ballet Stars within the 62nd Ljubljana Festival, in Slovenia, and the Opatija Festival, in Croatia. In diverse repertoires, Medvedev has represented the main male roles as, Albert in Giselle , Fabio in Satanella , Prince in The Nutcracker , Franz in Coppelia , James in The Sylph and Prince Salamander in The Prince of the Pagodas , to name a few. In recognition of his talent and his development of the art of ballet in Estonia, he received the title of honorary artist of this country.
Since 1989, he has worked as a dancer and choreographer with several theaters and companies in Russia and abroad, and was invited to prestigious events such as World Ballet Festival, in Ukraine; World Stars Gala, in Belarus; Stars of St .Petersburg Ballet in the United States; Notte di Stelle in Italy; Gala International in Estonia; Y. Makhalina and Stars of the Ballet of Saint Petersburg in Argentina and Costa Rica.
For years he has been an associate professor at the Vaganova Russian Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, where he teaches choreography. He is one of the outstanding graduates of the Academy, upon obtaining the master’s degree.
Among his creations are more than 40 titles created for the main ballet companies such as Bolshoi Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, National Ballet of Lithuania, National Ballet of Mexico, Slovak National Ballet, National Ballet of Croatia, National Ballet of Panama and Macedonian Ballet National. He makes his own versions of classical ballet such as The Corsair, Swan Lake, Don Quixote, La Bayadera, The Nutcracker, La Fille mal gardee or Coppelia .
He was born in the Czech Republic and is distinguished for being the first Czech to obtain a master’s degree at the Vagánova Ballet Academy in Moscow. He is a dancer, choreographer and ballet teacher. He received the Philip Morris Flower Ballet Award, the best dancer in the Czech Republic and the Pushkin Legacy Ballet Award in the United States, for his interpretation of Onegin. He is a consultant for the Eurasia Dance Festival in Astana, official ballet master of the Sir Anton Dolin Foundation and artistic director of the Petipa Patrimonial Fund.
He graduated from the Prague Ballet Conservatory. During his prosperous career he played dozens of important characters in classical ballets, as a principal dancer of the National Theater of Prague, the Russian Ballet of St. Petersburg , the Teatro Colón and other venues. He has danced in ballets of outstanding international choreographers such as Roland Petit, George Balanchine, Vasily Medvedev, Jiří Kylián, Alvin Ailey, Hans van Mannen and others.
He participated in prestigious international ballet ales, such as the Gala of the Stars in Montréal, Dance Open Festival in St. Petersburg, Due Mondi Gala in Spoleto, World Ballet Stars in Seoul and the World Ballet Festival in Kiev . With the ballet Vanemuine in Estonia he organized his own version of the ballet Giselle . For the Slovak National Ballet he created the Irresistible piece and together with Vasily Medvedev he was the choreographer of the Esmeralda ballet in the 2017/2018 season. He has been a permanent teacher of the Dance Open Ballet and has trained distinguished dancers of prestigious ballets.
From 2015 to date, she collaborates with the Institute of Theater Arts of Moscow as Associate Professor of the Department of Choreography, in the subject Classes of Classical Dance Teaching. She was artistic deputy director of the classical dance department and as a classical dance teacher, at the Dance Academy of Boris Eifman between 2013 and 2015.
She was also a professor of technique in the classical and neoclassical dance department of the Vagánova Ballet Academy in Russia, as well as having been part of the academic body in the specialty of classical dance of that institution.
From 1997 to 2005, Marina Osipova participated as a ballet dancer at the Opera and Ballet Theater. MP Mussorgsky. Before that she worked as a dancer in the Russian Ballet Company between 1992 and 1997, although her work as an academic continued until 2011.
In that year, he competed with the thesis Professional preparation of future ballet dancers for the execution of jumping movements, with which he obtained the degree of Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, at the State Pedagogical University of Russia AI Herzen. At Vagánova Academy she specialized in Theory and methodology of professional education, attended the Faculty of Pedagogy of the same institution, where she obtained the degree of teacher-tutor, with honorable mention and was trained as a ballet dancer.
She is the author of several scientific articles and a methodical manual on the teaching of classical dance technique. He has extensive experience in preparing students for international competitions, many of them awarded. He has been a jury of international competitions of ballet dancers; collaborates in the organization and methodological support of the educational and creative process; design, development and writing of educational programs and study plans, among others.
He was born in Russia. In 1983 he concluded his studies at the Moscow Ballet School (today the Moscow State Choreographic Academy) and joined the Ballet Company of the Bolshoi Theater. In 1994 he graduated in the Faculty of Ballet-Master of the Russian University of Theater Arts.
She teaches in the choreography department of the Institute of Modern Arts, associate professor and since 2008 she is the head of the choreography department.
From 1992 to 1997 she held the position of artistic director of the Russian Ballet on Ice. For this company he also performed, in one act, the ballet Catarsis with music by Carl Orff (1992), the Songs of the Andes program, based on the popular melodies of Chile and Bolivia (1993) and a series of short choreographies for concerts . She was one of the main soloists of the Bolshoi Theater. He danced in ballet works such as Don Quixote, Raimonda, Polovtsian Dances, Sleeping Beauty, Stone Flower, La Bailarina, La Esmeralda and El Corsario, to name a few.
In 2009 he participated in the production of Coppelia and La Esmeralda as assistant director and choreographer. He has often performed solo concert programs.
In 1996 he danced at the premiere of Antigone ballet , with music by different composers, prepared by M. Pekarsky (director-choreographer S. Bobrov), thus becoming the creator of the role of Erinyes. She frequently works as a choreographer and director outside the Bolshoi Theater.
He was born in Leningrad (St. Petersburg). He graduated from the Vagánova Ballet Academy. Since 1986 she has been a principal dancer at the Kirov / Mariinsky Ballet.
In 2008 she was distinguished as the Artist of the Russian People and in 1995 she received the distinction of Honorable Artist of Russia. It was awarded by the International Dance Association in Moscow, with the 1998 Benois Dance Prize, the “Golden Sofit” Award, the most prestigious theater award in St. Petersburg, in 1993. In 1990 it won three decorations: the Prize of the International Ballet Competition, Grand Prize and Gold Medal in Paris and the Prize of the Lumière Brothers Center for Photography.
Among the choreographic repertoire she has performed are La Sílfide, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Raymonda, La Bayadera, Scherezada, Spartaco and La leyenda del amor.
As a guest soloist she has danced with the Danish Royal Ballet and the Deutsche Oper in Berlin. He has also participated in ballets such as La Bayadera at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Paquita at the Paris Opera House and Swan Lake, La Bayadera and The Firebird at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
Medvedev Denis Vladimirovich
He was born in Moscow in 1976. He graduated from the Choreography School in Moscow, in Peter Korogodsky’s class and completed his studies in the Performing Arts Department at the Choreography Institute, now known as the State Choreographic Academy of Moscow, in where he obtained the certification to develop as a dance teacher.
He was the first soloist of the Bolshoi Theater, winner of international competitions; Honorary Artist in Russia, Principal Professor of the Department of Classical Dance and Duet at the Moscow Choreography Academy.
Alexey Viktorovich Fomkin
He was born in Ukraine. In 1991 he concluded his studies at the Vagánova de Ballet Academy, where he obtained a specialty in ballet artistic choreography and the degree of ballet master, researcher and art critic in the area of specialization in History and Theory of choreography.
He studied at the Herzen Russian State Pedagogical Institute in St. Petersburg. He has a degree in Psychology from the Institute of Psychoanalysis in Moscow and a specialist in psychological counseling, psychological correction and psychotherapy, and clinical psychology at the Institute of Practical Psychology and Psychoanalysis. He was a ballet dancer in the State Opera and Ballet Theater of Kírov (now known as Mariinsky Theater).
He was a specialist advisor of the Russian Association of Education and Methodology in Choreography, Dean of the Pedagogical Faculty and Deputy Director of the Department of Methodology of Dance Teaching. Since 2002 he has been vice-rector of academic affairs and as President of the Russian Association of Education and Choreography Methodology. He is Executive Secretary of the Coordination Council for Artistic and Cultural Education of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation. From 2014 to 2016 he was Artistic Director of TanzHaus.
He has worked on topics such as the development of the Dance Teaching Methodology, methodology for the development of cultural and educational projects in choreography, theory and history of pedagogy and dance education, among others.
In 2004, it received recognition from the Ministry of Education of the Federation
Russian, for its outstanding participation in the development of university programs in the area of culture and art. He is a researcher and supervisor of research projects; organization of scientific and practical seminars, and lectures for Russian universities.
From 1999 to 2013 he taught at the Vagánova Academy of Russian Ballet. In 2013 he released the album “Perfection through the centuries” in commemoration of the 275th anniversary of the Vagánova Ballet Academy. He is the author of 38 research projects.
